Enhancing learning and teaching about mental health across the disciplines
The Mental Health in Higher Education hub represents a development of the mhhe website: www.mhhe.heacademy.ac.uk
It will, in time, contain links to all of the information contained there, but also gives us access to a range of other tools to enable us to grow and evolve as a community.
What are the advantages of moving to this format?
As funding for mhhe fluctuates, and hence support for a development worker is not assured, this hub enables members of the mhhe network to do more for ourselves. For example:
- share ideas and information via blog postings.
It helps us to move from a system where everything has to be channeled through a development worker in to a self sustaining network.
Are there any disadvantages?
The new format may take a little time to get used to. You need to join and set a password (and remember it!). Jill Anderson, is on hand to assist and help with any queries.
Other than that, not really. . . You have full control over how you choose to use the hub. For example, you could simply use it to ensure that you continue to receive news and events information from mhhe - via the feed on the home page and ebulletin - in the way that you have done previously.
Please explore the hub and do get in touch if you have any queries, or suggestions for improvement.
