Social workers face huge stress levels and an increase in their potential for mental ill-health, which are attributable to both their case loads and the secondary trauma that comes with the role. This extended session will provide professionals with tips to manage positive mental health and build emotional resilience
Delegate who attend this learning session will:
- Recognise the importance of looking after ourselves from our own perspective and that of service users, carers and employers
- Develop an understanding of a range of strategies to protect and promote our own wellbeing
- Look at our stress and triggers and examine strategies to cope with stress
