Staff at the University of Bradford have been undertaking a small research study to explore the experiences of Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHPs) in applying recovery and social perspectives in their practice. This has included interviewing a number of AMHPs who have previously undertaken their training at the University and who are currently in practice.
The aim of the workshop is to bring together a number of stakeholders including service users and carers, AMHPS, AMHP and mental health managers, educators and researchers to discuss the findings and to consider how these can be taken forward. This could include any implications for practice, AMHP training and CPD, as well further research.
It is intended that significant themes and issues from the workshop will also feed into other discussion within contemporary mental health care.
Tea and coffee will be provided. Expenses for service users and carers are also available. Please contact us for further information.
